2026 FAIR TRIP - TO THE ELKHART COUNTY 4-H FAIR

We will be attending the Elkhart Co 4-H Fair in Goshen, Indiana.
It is a true county fair established in 1851 with long standing community support.
North American Midway and many of our vendors have recommended
visiting this fair for years because of their ag and entertainment programs

We will be visiting the fair July 23-26.
If you are interested in attending with our group, please email or call our President Eddie Cora.
The cutoff date to attend will be July 15, 2026 in order to get our hotel reservations.

Plan to fly in Thursday, July 23rd, Fly out on Sunday, July 26th.

Obviously, there are no flights to Elkhart, so the following are airports near:

  1. South Ben, IN 40 minutes-1 hour
  2. Grand Rapids, MI 1.5 hours
  3. Chicago, IL 2.5 hours
  4. Indianapolis, IN 2.5 hours
  • Glean New ideas to take back to your fair

  • Experience Harness Racing
  • Opportunity to attend concerts by Brett Young, Ludacris, or Jamie MacDonald
  • We will be visiting Shipshewana, an Amish town approximately 20 minutes away. It's a very interesting area with several hospitality locations which may be of interest for fairs with off season rental facilities.
  • Group Dinners and Breakfasts
  • Courtesy van transportation to & from the fair.

Friday, July 24

Breakfast: Complimentary continental breakfast (6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.) at the hotel or Starbucks nearby walking distance.

Shipshewana Day: (30–35-minute drive)

What to do:

  • Menno-Hof Mennonite Cultural Center – Opens at 10:00 a.m. | $9.50 | 1.5-hour tour.The Menno-Hof Interpretive Center is a non- profit information center that teaches visitors about the life of the Amish and Mennonites.
  • Buggy Rides – $13 (15 minutes) or $25 (30 minutes).
  • Lunch Options: Linder’s Tavern on Main; East of Chicago Pizza; Fireside Craft Burgers & Brew in downtown.
  • Explore downtown shops -There are over 100 shops to see and explore
  • Blue Gate Theatre – might want to go see a musical see link for showtimes and prices

    Dinner (6:00 p.m.): Das Dutchman Essenhaus is a unique Amish-style dining ($20–$30). You may choose from buffet to table service. It on the way back to the hotel.

Saturday, July 25

Breakfast: Complimentary continental breakfast (7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.) or Starbucks nearby.

Elkhart County Fair Day:

Transportation to & from the Fair: Courtesy van or your own car

8:30 a.m. Arrival

9:00 a.m. Hometown Hero Day Salute

9:30 a.m. Agricultural Tour

9:30 a.m. Open Class Heifer & Market Beef Show
11:00 a.m. Open Class Sheep Show
8:00 p.m. Brett Young Concert if you would like to attend please confirm attendance by June 23 rd.


Sunday, July 26

Group Breakfast – 9:00 a.m. (Tipsy Biscuit, Lux Café, Angel’s House of Pancakes)

Optional: return to Elkhart Fair or visit other Fairs close by.
