2018-19 YPI CHARITY FUNDRAISER AND GRANTS

IMPORTANT PROGRAM INITIATED BY YPI COMMITTEE

The Young Professionals group has been hard at work this past year creating exciting new opportunities for FFF Fairs and Associates. With the support of the Florida Federation of Fairs Board of Directors, we are proud to announce the continuation of two community services based programs for the 2018-19 Fair Season. The projects with conclude with activities and recognition at the 2019 Convention in St. Augustine. See forms below.

YPI Resource Drive to assist Lee Conlee House: Domestic Violence Center

Opening the first emergency shelter in Putnam County in 1998, the Lee Conlee House supports victims of intimate partner domestic violence through advocacy, treatment, prevention and education. It is with the assistance of community partners that these services continue to be provided. Currently, the Lee Conlee House operates a 32 bed shelter. In addition to the shelter, they run a crisis hotline, provide counseling and support groups and offer education. Many of those seeking help come only with the clothes on their backs. Upon leaving the shelter they are given many of the items listed on the attached flyer to help them get started again. Donations can be made when you register for the convention or will be accepted during the annual FFF convention.

Click here to donate: Click Here To Make A Donation To The YPI Charity Drive

or bring items needed with you to the convention. We all know members of the fair industry have the biggest hearts and are most caring and generous. Our goal is to help our young professionals keep up the good work, while giving back to our local communities.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact our YPI Committee Chair, Nicole Jones, njones30@outlook.com.

THE HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE HOPES YOU WILL MAKE A SPECIAL EFFORT TO VISIT AND BE A PART OF THE HOSPITALITY SUITE THIS YEAR.

We have appreciated all the donations from the Fairs and Associates in past years and look forward to your participation this year. We have 500 delegates at the Convention so we need to be prepared for each one to visit the Hospitality Suite. We are also encouraging all the Fairs to share homemade snacks this year.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP.

AUCTION DONATIONS

We need your help! It’s time to prepare for the annual auction as we gear up for the Florida Federation of Fairs Convention in St. Augustine! It is most evident today that our youth are our most precious resource. As Fairs, we provide agricultural and organizational programs that allow students to learn the value of hard work and dedication all while investing in their future. The money from the auction goes to support the Federation and its wide range of educational programs for fairs.

At this year’s annual auction we are hoping to break records. Every Fair can take part in this special event by making a monetary donation that will be used to purchase items or donating an auction item valued at a minimum of $50.00.

Our goal is to have each Fair donate a unique and thoughtful gift that is representative of your geographical area. If you are making a monetary donation, please send by May 1st to allow time for items to be purchased.
